Privacy at Freely

Freely is a small tasks app. This page says, in plain words, what it keeps, where that lives and who can see it.

What Freely stores

Where it is stored

Your data lives in a Supabase database (a hosted Postgres) plus a file bucket for attachments, in a data centre run by Supabase.

Each device you sign in on keeps its own copy, so Freely opens even without a connection. That copy belongs to your account alone and is removed from the device when you sign out.

Who can see what

Every table is protected by row-level security: the database itself decides, row by row, who may read or change it. In practice that means:

Files you attach

Today, a file attached to a task can be opened by anyone who has its link, even after a share has ended. Please keep that in mind before attaching anything private. A change to time-limited links is planned.

Reminders

On the website, reminders show only while Freely is open. In the phone apps, the phone itself shows the notification, so reminders arrive even when Freely is closed. Nothing is sent to a server for this.

What Freely does not do

Backups and export

Settings → Back up downloads your tasks (not those in Recently deleted), lists, notes, canvas notes and habits as one file you can keep or restore later. Attached files, messages, XP, preferences and teams are not in it.

Deleting

A deleted task stays in Recently deleted for 30 days, where you can restore it or delete it for good.

Deleting your whole account is coming to Settings; when it arrives, everything of yours goes at once. Until then, there is no way to ask for it through the app.

Contact

Freely has no contact address yet. Until it has one, the Support page answers the most common questions.
